My journey into wine started in an unexpected place—aboard a submarine during my time in the U.S. Navy. It wasn’t wine itself that first drew me in, but a curiosity about what I truly cared about and wanted to pursue. That curiosity eventually led me to Oregon State University, where I earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Horticulture, specializing in Viticulture.

Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible people in the wine industry and now serve as a vineyard manager. But my love for making wine doesn’t stop at the vineyard gate. Home winemaking became an outlet, and over time, that hobby evolved into something more serious—something I wanted to share. That’s how Mindless Wines was born.

Mindless Wines is a passion project dedicated to crafting limited-production wines that reflect the character and complexity of the Willamette Valley. While our scale is small, our ambition is big: to produce wines of exceptional quality, to experiment boldly, and to have a lot of fun doing it.
